Session Prep Guide

Everything you need to know to feel ready and confident.

What to Wear

Bring 3–5 outfits — more options mean more variety and a session that truly feels like you. Aim for a mix:

  • Lingerie sets or bodysuits
  • An oversized shirt, sweater, or button-up (great for casual, intimate shots)
  • Something that makes you feel powerful — whatever that means to you
  • Accessories: heels, boots, jewelry, robes, hats

Don't stress about having everything "perfect." We'll help you style each look on the day. Bring options, and we'll figure out the rest together.

Avoid anything with tight elastic bands that leave marks on your skin — give yourself time to let those fade before the session.

Skincare & Grooming

Your skin is at its best when it's hydrated and cared for. Start a simple skincare routine 1–2 weeks before your session:

  • Drink plenty of water — hydration shows
  • Moisturize daily, especially the areas you'll have on display
  • Get any waxing done 3–5 days before to let skin calm down
  • Manicure/pedicure if desired — clean nails photograph beautifully
  • Avoid introducing new skincare products in the final 48 hours

On the day of, arrive with clean, moisturized skin. Skip heavy perfume or body spray — it can affect how light interacts with your skin under studio conditions.

What to Bring

Pack everything you need the night before so there's no morning stress:

  • All outfit options — on hangers if possible
  • All accessories (shoes, jewelry, robes, wraps)
  • Personal items that tell your story — a favorite book, a meaningful piece of jewelry, something that makes the session uniquely yours
  • Snacks and water — long sessions need fuel
  • Touch-up kit: lip balm, blotting papers, a small mirror

Mindset & Confidence

This is the most important section in this guide.

This session is about you. Not a version of you that has lost weight, gotten a haircut, or feels "ready." You, right now. Every body is a boudoir body. Every person deserves to see themselves the way others see them.

It's completely normal to feel nervous before your session. Most clients do. Within the first few minutes, that nervousness tends to dissolve — because the process is designed to make you feel safe, seen, and celebrated.

  • Trust the process — we guide every single pose
  • You don't need to know how to "model"
  • You can take breaks whenever you need to
  • There are no wrong answers — only your story

Day-Of Logistics

A few practical things to make your session day smooth:

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to get settled and comfortable
  • Wear a button-up or zip-up top to travel in — pulling a shirt over your head can mess up your hair and makeup
  • Bring all outfits on hangers to keep them wrinkle-free
  • Eat a real meal beforehand — you'll have more energy and feel better
  • Turn your phone to Do Not Disturb — this time is for you
  • If you're running late, just text — we'll adjust
