Boudoir Photographer in Elk Grove | F64 Photography

Boudoir photography for Elk Grove clients. Hotels, homes, and outdoor locations. Based in Sacramento, just 15 minutes away.

Close to Home

Elk Grove is one of the closest cities to me in Sacramento. Depending on where you are in town, I can be at your door in 10 to 20 minutes. That proximity makes it easy. No travel fees, no complicated logistics. I come to you and we shoot at your chosen location.

Elk Grove has grown fast over the past 20 years. It is one of the largest cities in Sacramento County now, with a mix of newer developments, established neighborhoods, and families who landed here because the schools are good and the commute to downtown Sacramento is manageable. I have worked with a lot of Elk Grove clients over the years, and the thing I hear most often is that they did not realize a professional boudoir photographer was this close.

Shooting at Your Home

Many Elk Grove homes have the kind of natural light and space that works well for boudoir. A room with a large window, neutral walls, and enough floor space is all I need. I bring my lighting, backdrops, and everything required to create a private, comfortable session right in your own space.

In-home sessions have a different energy than hotel work. There is a comfort and familiarity that comes from being in your own space, and that relaxation shows up in the images. If your home has the right conditions, send me a few photos of the room and I will tell you if it will work.

Outdoor Options Near Elk Grove

If you want an outdoor session, the Elk Grove area has a few spots that work. The Cosumnes River Preserve south of town is a wetland and riparian habitat with trails through oak groves and open fields. In the winter and spring, the light in the preserve is soft and flat in a way that is very flattering for skin tones. The trails are quiet on weekday mornings.

Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, just west of Elk Grove along Interstate 5, has similar terrain with more open grassland. It is less visited than Cosumnes, which helps with privacy. I have shot there in the early morning when the fog sits low over the fields, and those images have a mood that you cannot get anywhere else in the metro.

Closer to town, Elk Grove Regional Park has large shade trees and open lawns. It is not as private as the nature preserves, but early morning sessions before the park fills up can work well.

Film Options

I shoot every session on a digital camera for speed and reliability. If you want something with a different character, I also shoot on vintage film cameras, a 1975 Nikkormat FT2 (35mm) and a 1957 Hasselblad 500C (medium format). Film has a grain structure, tonal range, and skin rendering that digital does not replicate. It slows the session down in a way that a lot of clients find calming.

Film packages are available as an add-on to any session type. Check the services page for details on what is included.
